Mission and Vision
Mission and Vision
Zion Lutheran Church has been serving the Community of Nampa, Idaho with Word and Sacrament Ministry since 1917. Our current building was built in 1948, and since 1951 has also served our community through Zion Lutheran School.
Our mission is to be a nurturing Christian family growing together as disciples to reach the world with the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.
We accomplish this, by the grace of God, through:
A. Conducting Divine Services, proclaiming the Word of God and administering the Sacraments. Each Sunday, we are gathered together by God to receive His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation. In response to this, we pray, praise and give thanks to the One who sent His Son to die on the cross to save us from our sins.
B. Providing Christian Education and Mission Opportunities for all age groups. Christian education has always been a major focus here at Zion. We have Sunday School each week for children of all ages Since 1951, Zion Lutheran Church has committed itself to the education of our children, and the children of our community, in a Christ-centered and loving atmosphere. We also provide opportunities to participate and support mission work in our community and around the world.
C. Assisting the members to remain faithful to the Triune God and live through application of God’s Word.
D. Assisting in the building of God’s Kingdom in our community and throughout the world.
E. Providing for encouragement through Christian Fellowship.
Check out our "Ministries" page for how we work together as God's family to accomplish the work He has placed before us.
